In September our interiors team attended one of the world’s leading interior design shows, Decorex, in London, which brings together over 600 of the best brands and companies in home design, showcasing their latest collections. The Heronslea interiors team came away with lots of new ideas and inspiration to share with you. Big trends at the show which will start to be seen in show homes and interior magazines throughout the UK included; Metallic Mad – lots of copper/gold and bronzes remain the top home accessory. They were also featured heavily in wall coverings, if you are thinking of changing wallpaper. Carpentry with detailing inlays was a new trend so was lacquered wood. For overall home design – a traditional theme with a modern twist was key and will be a big theme for coming seasons. Colour wise palates remain muted for decor with accents of plush pinks and teals.
